Today, I have no photo for you.
I left Wellington this morning and took the scenic route towards Napier on the east coast of the north island. The clouds hung low over the mountains and for a short bit of the road, I drove through them again. But I cleared up later that morning and when I arrived in Napier, it was bright and sunny. In fact, it still is. The air is already chilly, but in the sun, it is still hot. Which means, I had a gratis sauna when I came back from a stroll through town.
The town itself is at the sea and art déco is the general theme. Cafés line the streets and small shops everywhere in the town centre. I enjoyed it for a bit and had lunch.
Now I am relaxing in the van planing tomorrows destination as well as the general route for the next (and last) week. It will probably be a drive up the east coast of the north island before I will hand the camper back in Auckland next week.
