Varberg

I had woken up to another nice morning at the Öresund. After breakfast I got the camper ready to leave and then drove up north. I had looked for two alternative destinations the night before and made my first stop about 220km to Varberg. The day had grown to be sunnier every hour and the even though the air is still quite cold and the wind blew chilly, it was a beautiful sight. I decided to take the extra metres out on to the pier facing the inner harbour and having a view onto the Varberg Fortress.

After taking my bike around the basin to the other side I bought a ticket for the night. Then I went for a walk to the Fortress. The Varberg Fortress was built in the late 1200s to protect against the Danish king. Nowadays, there is a hostel on the castle grounds, but I have my own bed with me of course.
It was a beautiful day to take a walk around the fort and (very short) around Varberg. I then enjoyed a nice cup of tea in my home.
