As I had woken up to another chilly, but sunny morning, I decided to explore on foot today. I crossed Västerbron the south side and then walked along the north side of the Mälaren. Accidentally, I walked past one of Stockholm‘s finest bakery (again! How strange is that?) and took the chance to buy another cinnamon bun (kanelbullar för livet!). Strengthened with even another sweet in my backpack, I strolled down Drottninggatan into Gamla Stan, the Old Town part of Stockholm. With the view over to ‘af Chapman’, the STF Youth Hostel, I sat down for a bit. The quay was not too crowded this morning.
I made may way back via Södermalm to relax in the afternoon. I have decided on tomorrow‘s destination and even booked a camp site for the weekend.
