Today we went on a hike to Abisko. Abisko is start and finish (whatever your direction of travel is) of the famous Kungsleden, a 443 km hike through the Swedish fjäll. The STF station is about 9 km away from Björkliden on the Rallarvägen. Fortunately, it is a fairly flat trail, but my feet and knees still felt the pain. It was still worth every metre of it: the views almost everywhere were fantastic.
We walked a few kilometers on the Kungsleden to the meditation spot with a nice overlook over the national park and stopped for lunch at the stream on the way out. What a wonderful day. And of course, we did NOT take the afternoon train back, but hiked back. Our hike is here on Komoot.
